Overview

The Heathlands is a large residential development built by Redrow Homes and is situated on the former brickworks and claypit site in Buckley, North Wales.

The site had originally been abandoned and was left unsafe due to the presence of a 1ha steep-sided lagoon.

We were engaged by Redrow Homes to construct the estate roads and sewers to adoptable standards and simultaneously carry out the plot substructure works, plot drainage and services, footpath construction and driveway installations.

From the outset, the poor ground conditions posed some real challenges and a strict ecology and wildlife management plan was adhered to throughout each construction phase.

The award-winning development has since transformed and rejuvenated the area, the economy and the local community.
